FIRST, BE RECONCILED

July 31-August 29, 2026

Of worship and repentance, Jesus said, “...first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.” -Matthew 5:23-24. Apologies have the power to bring people together. This show features seven paintings with seven altars. Museum patrons have the opportunity to write and place apologies on the altars.

SIXTY YEARS OF DIALOGUE

September 4-October 31, 2026
Special Dialogue Reception September 18

Founded in 1966, Dialogue is the oldest independent journal of Mormonism, publishing scholarship, poetry, art and fiction on the Latter-day Saint experience. Published quarterly in print and online, the journal encourages a variety of viewpoints to foster artistic and scholarly achievement. This show celebrates sixty years of the journal's existence. Unlike in most museum shows, works may be purchased, benefiting Dialogue Journal.

MANY LIGHTS: A TRIBUTE TO JAMES CHRISTENSEN

November 6-December 19, 2026
Reception November 6th, 6-9 pm

To us, James C. Christensen was a fantasy artist, teacher, father, grandfather, stand-up comedian (wink), and many other things. He inspired us. In his painting "One Light", Jim depicts a single man holding a candle. If all of us shine our light, he reasoned, we will light up the universe. This show is called "Many Lights" and consists of artwork by living artists, inspired by Christensen. Unlike in most museum shows, works may be purchased via auction, benefiting the James Christensen Scholarship, which is awarded yearly to a talented, skill-based art student.
